09.27.2020 Poem for Andrew - Melissa Order.jpg

Birthday Poem for Andrew

Melissa sent in a request to The Typewritery asking for a surprise birthday poem for her boyfriend, Andrew. She provided a wide array of facts about him—from his favorite author to his particular definition of fitness. She had no expectation of having the majority of the facts featured in the poem, but The Typewritery delivered on that and more, transforming Andrew into a superhero (he’s a Marvel fan) right on the page.

“The topic points I provided were very different and I was amazed with how well The Typewritery was able to seamlessly weave them together. Not only did my boyfriend love it, he delivered quite the poetic performance to 20 of his friends after having a few birthday drinks.”

-Melissa Parmelee

New Puppy Poem for Lesley

Lesley called upon The Typewritery to craft a poem about the love between a dog and their owner. With a new puppy in her household, we knew Lesley needed a poem that captured both the humor of the not-so-stellar moments as well as the enduring love that prevails despite challenges.

"The Typewritery eloquently transformed my thoughts and emotions into words that when strung together perfectly captured a moment I never want to forget. I'm looking forward to capturing more of life moments in custom poems by The Typewritery!"

-Lesley Jacobowitz

A Poem on Bravery for Leticia

Leticia asked The Typewritery to deliver a poem on the topic of bravery. Knowing her interest in gardening, her hard-working, socially-attuned nature, and the challenges 2020 brought, this poem became an inspirational meditation intended to lift the spirit and speak to her heart.

“I loved my poem from The Typewritery. There's something so precious about a typewritten poem, and the cadence and tone of the poem were perfect for the subject I chose. I'm so glad I own one. I was so happy with mine that I framed it!”

-Leticia

2020.12.30 - Welcome to the Keego Jungle - Tara Weiner.JPG

A Poem about Home for Tara

Tara approached The Typewritery for a custom poem on the topic of how her home is turning into a jungle. Pulling together specific details on her favorite plants and her furry home companions, a poem emerged that she said “gave [her] a smile so big that [her] husband had to come see what [she] was reading.”

“Every expectation I had became increasingly surpassed with every sentence I read. The imagery was enchanting, and layered with a playfulness that made me sit and read it over and over.”

-Tara Weiner
